Break 2 was founded in 2018 when Rob Webb & Bryant Parker reunited after 25 years. Both grew up just outside Nashville in Murfreesboro, TN with a love of Hip Hop. They would Co-DJ High School dances with 3 turntables and cassette decks. Wanting to create Hip-Hop that was rooted in the Golden Era style and sound they began writing songs for fun. In 2025 they decided to make it more than a hobby and thus The Basement Sound Studio was formed along with Southbound Records whose mission is to redefine Nashville Hip-Hop and R&B.
